Why have I not heard back yet?

We aim to follow up with all inquiries or concerns as soon as possible but ask you to allow us up to 48 hours from first receipt of your communication to reply.

Can I make any changes to my order or update the shipping address once I have checked out/finished order?

We understand you are eager to receive your order and our goal is to process and ship it as quickly as possible. As such, we are not able to make any changes to product or address once the order has been placed so please do review everything before submitting.

I would love to order something currently out of stock. Help Please.

We work with the freshest seasonal ingredients from around the world and sometimes that means limited availability. Do not fret, we are always working on the best options possible. Join our waitlist and we will let you know as soon as it is available again. Joining our waitlist will help us understand what items you love most.

What forms of payment are accepted?

We welcome Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, and Paypal.

Are taxes charged to my purchases?

As a US based business, we are required to collect taxes according to the regulations of your state and county.

Shipping and Environmental Footprint

When will I receive my order?

Orders normally ship within 1 to 2 business days. Transit time will vary based on the shipping option you selected at checkout. Ground shipping normally takes 5 to 10 days. Please keep in mind transit times may be impacted due to holiday peaks and Covid-19 challenges being experienced by the carriers. Areas determined as “remote or extended delivery areas” by the carrier may also experience delivery delays and potential surcharges, which will be included in your shipping costs at checkout.

What are my shipping options and how are they priced?

Your unboxing experience should be gratifying and exciting, so we take extra care in packaging, sparing no expense for quality along the way. We ship in double walled boxes and ecofriendly wrapping materials to allow for maximum protection in transit. Please recycle if you can.
Shipping options include ground with a flat rate per pound, and expedited, which is normally 2 day transit. Rates will be displayed at checkout.
Complimentary ground shipping is available for orders subtotaling $195 or more.

What kind of packaging does Dr Smood use?

We are committed to preserving and honoring our environment. All our packaging can either be re-purposed or recycled to avoid single uses. Our pasta and tea packaging are biodegradable. All our shipping materials are 100% recyclable.

Returns or Exchanges, Damages and Refunds

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

Due to the nature of our product, we are not able to accept returns or exchanges. We want each customer to be completely confident their food has been handled with the upmost traceability and care.

What do I do if one or more of my items arrived damaged?

We hope the precautions we take in packaging all orders in double walled boxes and carefully protecting the contents it is still possible that something may get damaged in transit. In this unfortunate situation, just email us a picture of your damaged item(s) next to the shipping label of your package. Please note without picture as described we will not be able to assist with replacements or refunds.

When will I get my refund?

Refunds will be handled on a case-by-case basis through our customer service department as we do not accept returns or exchanges. Once issued, please allow up to 5 business days for your refund to post.
